Mar. 18th, 2011 01:28 pmYou'll notice a distinct lack of information about earthquakes, tsunamis, and nuclear leakage in this blog. That's because I get so many messages, so many comments, and so many conversations on these topics every day. It's pretty much all people talk about anymore. Even in my classes my JTEs made a point of telling the students how worried my family and friends probably are. People I haven't spoken to in years have inquired about me - and while it makes me feel loved it is entirely exhausting.
The point? I'm sick of talking about it. Even though I'm trying to avoid the subject these days, I still end up devoting most of my day to correcting the rumors and calming fears, because once it comes up I can't not ramble on about it. I'm still listening to all of the news, of course, and still engaging in conversations, but there's no way it's getting a blog entry.
In summary, in case you didn't know - life is normal here, with the exception of my sympathies for Tohoku and my careful eye on the jetstreams that pass the nuclear reactor. It's just day in day out waiting and donating.
