Things have been so irregular now that we're in our last month of school. Tests are already over but school continues for a few weeks (this would NEVER work in America lol). This means though a lot of random canceled days to prepare for the incoming freshmen, random half days for whatever ceremony or test. It's very laid back, almost to the point of not making any sense. My older friends who have children at my school don't even know the next day's school schedule themselves! It makes me wonder if sometimes kids accidentally show up when there's no school or don't show when there is school.

Third years have been entirely finished with everything since the first of the month, but they're starting to trickle back in to tell teachers whether they passed their entrance exams to university or not. I'm not sure how often students fail, it's not exactly something people go around shouting about when they do, but it is very heart-warming to see the passing students come in. Some of them even grab their teachers by the elbows and start jumping up and down. Usually several other teachers hear and congratulate them with genuine sincerity, whether they were involved in the student's studies or not. It's all very heart-warming, like watching people greet each other at the airport.

In unrealted news: toothpaste sucks. I loathe it and its penchant for ruining good outfits. I don't know if it's just the thickness and whitness, or if it actually bleaches clothes, but for whatever reason no matter how hard you scrub you can always see that little toothpastey glob. You may have guessed, there was a tiny dab of toothpaste on my finger today when straightened my new indigo scarf. Very annoying. Not enough to stop wearing the scarf, but enough to piss me off whenever I catch a glimpse of it in the mirror.

I had a lot of classes this week, even between the intermittent school days. It's strange though, days when I have class at any point 2nd-5th period seem to go by so much faster, but days where I have class 1st period or 6th period go so slowly. Now I have only one set of lessons left, the 2nd years. I feel like it's a lot of pressure to plan this lesson, since it's their last lesson with me ever. They're soon going to be super serious third year students. They'll soon be robbed of the last tiny shreds of joy that were clinging to their teenage lives, at least until this time next year.
